Talk Together London C.I.C. is offering volunteering opportunities to candidates who are interested in community development and bilingual heritage in the UK.

 

Stage 1:  EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

RELEVANT SKILLS

We are inviting applications from candidates who may have the following skills:

Empathy with bilingual families/carers and young people.

Good communication skills and broad general knowledge.

Ability to teach English, Maths or Sciences to children and young people or adults.

Ability to organise and lead play sessions for children and young people.

Ability to teach literacy and numeracy with creative arts activities such as music, improvisational theatre, photography, desk top publishing or fashion.

Ability to work effectively in a team.

Ability to contribute to the planning and delivery of innovative services and research.

Ability to help design and/or maintain the organisation’s website.

 

Stage 3:  DBS CHECK AND REFERENCES

If you are invited to join Talk Together London as a volunteer, you will need to produce identification documents and to complete a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Applicants are required to provide details of at least two referees, one of whom must be their previous employer, current employer or headteacher. Ideally, both referees will be able to comment directly on the applicant’s performance within the field of education and community work.
